Once Upon a Time...
In the year 2022, Planet Earth became the most arid and uneventful place you could ever find yourself on, in the entire Universe. This was mostly attributed to the fact that people have been recycling the same routine over and over and over again. So much so that their lives have become unremarkably mundane. The atmosphere is always just gloomy and underwhelming. You could find people just sitting in the middle of the open road, hoping that something interesting would just happen. People completely lost every ounce of hope or interest in doing anything. They've gotten to that point where the only thing they were certain of, was the fact that they were still existing. They weren’t happy, they weren’t sad, they were just " Living ".
That was the state the planet had plunged into, and it didn’t look like there was any change in sight- Or so they thought !
Suddenly on a day like any other, things were happening as they normally would; right on time, systematically. Well, everything, but the strange cosmic event that just appeared out of nowhere. At the time, a comet passed through the Earth’s surface. It would have just been a normal occurrence on its own, if it hadn’t left something truly intriguing in its wake. As it passed, it left behind tiny dust like particles and the particles were spreading rapidly throughout the surface of the entire Earth. And that was when it happened! The second the dust came in contact with a human, the human would almost instantly transform into, a full-blown Goochy Hippo, it was simply crazy. But what should have caused an all-out hysteria and panic, had the exact opposite effect on the people. In fact, they were fascinated, and even more intrigued by the event. It was just, DIFFERENT. That element of excitement began to crawl back into their hearts. They were happy, they were hopeful, and they were motivated. In a few words, they were
“Goochy Hippos” !
Even until today, no one knows exactly where the comet came from, or even the science behind the strange magical dust. But really, nobody cared. From that moment on, the earth was changed forever. The once gloomy and boring planet, had metamorphosed into the
Goochy Hippos Club.
